I strongly recommend this. No matter what your skill level Is there is always something to help with from fighting fires and responding to calls, driving trucks, directing traffic, responding to medical calls, carrying gear, assisting drivers while responding, running radios, refreshments, fundraising, recruiting, reports, personnel files, community outreach/awareness, cleaning, photography, historian, press releases, lobbying, moral boosting, researching, contracts, secretarial, treasurer and tons that I just cant think of. If there is something you do at work or as a hobby there is a place for in fire/EMS. Even giving 1 hour a month helps to keep your community safe and sound. You also get the benifit of knowing that every time the department goes out you help them to help someone in the worst moment of their life. FYI No prior experience needed.
