I think I am embarrassed to ask this question. I have a 1976 GL1000 trike conversion. When I learned to ride I was told to listen and shift up. The mechanic who just replaced the clutch (came needing replacing) told me I needed to learn to down shift as I accelerate when riding at higher speeds when I told him I felt like the clutch was slipping as I approached 60 mph. I have been shifting up by sound and around 30rpm. Can someone please explain this further to me???
