I think animal abuse is horrible, but Im always really suspicious of people who choose that as their big thing, and expect other activists to take the time to focus on it too. Sorry, Im trying to take care of humans being treated like shit, I cant handle this. Limited personal resources and people think the world will care about animals when it still uses animals as reference point for oppressing people. Animals will never be considered valuable if we need that paradigm to kill humans. Its privileged to focus on that, especially if you want the time and efforts of activists. Theres also this assumption that were the only animals that live on other animals...and this idea that were better than that inherently contradicting the idea that were all equal.
