I think the DD hat phenomenon is great, in that other Meggers are showing the Christmas spirit by paying it forward and giving them as gifts to those that desire to own one. And I want to remind others that the story behind it is one of provision. Its the spirit behind the beanie, that is what is so great. Please dont feel bad if you cant find one to buy. I dont think it should become about buying the DD hat, perhaps to feel like you are a part of the group. There probably arent 17.449 DD hats that exist in this world. Most likely there will be disappointed Meggers here. But there are folks who care enough to buy what they can find and share with others. Little angles that love to bless others. Wait for the beanie to come to you, to bless you. Or seek them out to bless others. But dont feel bad if they dont find their way to you. We are all Meggers and we all love each other. I love the spirit behind this, but I also dont want to see people frustrated. Here is the post that started it all, below... as I said, its a story of provision. Dunkin Donuts was giving those beanies out to runners at the New York Marathon corrals. I had shaved my head the day before the race and in my infinite wisdom decided against taking a hat or any cover for my exposed head. Needless to say it was freezing that morning and I had to wait three hours before the start so as I soon as I spotted more than one person with one of those babies, I RAN to one of the girls who was giving them out and might have said “Yoink” in the process, jajaja. Now it has become my official lucky racing beanie!! ;-) So... if you havent found your way to a beanie, perhaps give another Megger a chance to bless your socks off and post below.
