I think the Today Show missed the mark when they made the comment that other countries dont have the standards that we do and that things that the FDA says is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) are safe. The problem seems to be is that NO ONE has studied the long term effects of these product/product additives on PEOPLE. And even in animals the effects arent good.
