I thought I post this video for two reasons: it demonstrates how wolfdogs are really pack animals, tesla is trying her best to sleep on the same couch with her pack. They were outside all morning but demanded to have their nap inside with their pack leader mommy (me). This is a daily routine. Two naps a day inside with their pack leaders:-) The other reason: tesla listens very well now, but with wolfdog puppies you ll never get what you get with a dog such as giving a command and they listen. Wolfdogs are very stubborn , you give them a command in this video get down! And they just look at you thinking you cant tell me what to do :-)) what worked for me, repeating the command and getting up and pull them away from what they are doing and I tell them thats a no no . They are very very smart, they understand you and your commands but will try to be their own bosses all the time. I have always been consistent : when they do something thats a no no like trying to get in the garbage I say no , I go there and pull her away. For a while, this is a very demanding task, you ALWAYS have to do this with all the things that are a no no. Eventually I get to a point with them where telling them the command repeatedly and just acting like Im getting up its enough to get them to listen . Just like in this video. Some people who have only dealt with dogs would say that Tesla in this video is not listening, but she is, you just hAve to give a little time for her to make her feel that she did rebell because she didnt listen right away. She always does that:-)
