I thought I would share what our everyday schedule is like with everyone :) Because we have two babies you would think we could just do everything for both at the same time, but its not that easy for us since they both have special needs. Christian 8am Wake up Give meds, try bottle, give rest of bottle through gtube. Watch elmo to sit still or play in high chair. 10am bath, gtube cares, try bottle put rest through gtube. Play on floor 12pm Naptime, run formula through gtube. 1 or 2pm wake up 2pm try bottle, gtube feed. 245pm pt/ot therapy 4pm meds, gtube cares, bottle/gtube feed. Play or watch elmo. 6pm bottle/gtube feed. Play on floor. 8pm bottle/gtube feed. Bedtime! 10pm run gtube feed. Thomas Between 5 and 630am Wake up, play in crib with toys, listen to music. 7am turn off night gtube feed. Vitals 730am trach collar, play in jumper. 830am play on floor 930am inhalers, suction trach 945am Start baby food. Try sippy cup 10am meds, start gtube feed. 1130am bath time, gtube cares, trach cares, nap. 1230pm wake up, try baby food, sippy cup. 1pm gtube feed, play in high chair, meds. 130pm suction trach 2pm pt/ot therapy 245pm watch tv, trach collar trial. 315pm floor play 345pm baby food, sippy cup. 4pm gtube feed 5pm nap 530pm play on floor, watch tv, suction trach 7pm meds, gtube feed. 830pm nap 9pm trach cares Bed time. 930pm inhalers/vitals, suction trach 10pm meds 1030pm start night gtube drip. 130am diaper change, suction trach 3am meds 530am diaper change, suction trach. 6am start day over :) Now on days when we have Appointments this gets changed of course. Plus we change diapers though out the day on both boys and suction Thomass trach around 8-10 times more than I listed. This didnt include all of the clothing changes from vomiting or poop accidents. PLUS my daily stuff, ordering supplies, deliverys of supplies, oxygen, constant phone calls from providers, insurance, nursing agencies, pharmacy, ect... cleaning of equipment, stocking medical supplies, checking oxygen tanks, washing bottles 4 times a day, cleaning syringes, making several batches of formula for both boys, cleaning the house, cooking meals, laundry, grocery shopping, paying bills ect.. oh and hopefully getting a shower in some where ;)
