I took the first two pictures on the 6th February 2014 when we paid our respects to Liam Whelan (22) RIP,the Dubliner and Manchester United footballer who was in the plane crash at Munich in 1958 that took his, along with many more lives. This bridge was dedicated to his memory, his family live in the locality still. The third picture was taken yesterday on13th April 2014. The day that the footballing world remembered the Hillsborough disaster of 1989. Some Liverpool supporter thought that defacing Liam Whelans plaque was the most appropriate way to do this. The most likely perpetrator of this vile act was someone who is local and has no connection to the city of Liverpool just a local scumbag who has desecrated a memory of a local legend.
