I used to use this document projector in my classroom. Basically you can take anything (papers. books, small objects...etc.) place it on the projector and project it on the wall in full color through an LCD projector. There is also a back light setting for using transparencies. The benefit of this is that it is portable and does not limit you to using transparencies for presentations or classroom teaching. Even if you have a Smart Board, you cannot do what this device does. There are various hookups on it to make it a business presentation device. Microphones can even be run through it. It comes with the power cable. To hook it to a projector you will need either an S-video cable or standard RCA cable. The only negative thing I can say is that the color on the projection has a tiny bit of a blue tint to it. $75
