I work full time and really enjoy my kids and cant afford cleaning help, which adds up to not just messiness but often dirtiness (pets who bring in dirt, unswept/unvacuumed floors, grimy windows). This brings no pride, but generally no discouragement. It doesnt stop me from feeling at home or being hospitable. Today Im discouraged. Today I have to actively choose cleaning over my family in order to not get to the gross point. This weekend Im catching up with the housekeeping and it doesnt bring joy, it brings loneliness and discouragement. I want a housekeeper.
