I usually put on my pajamas the minute I get home from work. So when it came time to take Cameron to basketball practice last night at 8 p.m., it seemed perfectly reasonable and normal to just wear my pajamas there. Yeah, not really the case. When I got to the gym, I couldn’t help but notice that I was the only one wearing PJs, and that everyone else, kids and parents alike, had on normal clothes. Aren’t these people tired from a long day? Don’t they want to be comfy? Feeling a little self-conscious (but not a lot, mind you, not enough to NOT wear my pajamas again next week), I started walking to the parking lot when some random dude called out to me from his car at a stoplight, “Nice flannels!” O.K., maybe I’ll wear jeans next time. 😬
