I want to know where everyone stands on a very touchy moral issue. Many of you cannot answer, but for those with an opinion please leave a comment. ------------------- if a kid is born with severe dibilitating diseases, and mentally ill to the point in which he/she can not take care of themselfs and must have other people being paid to support this individual. Would it be a humanitarian act to end that life? Two arguements one would make 1.) Its not morally right to take anyones life and by doing so you are just as mentally Ill 2.) it is a drain on society and other peoples lifes, nature is cruel, and we must face the fact that only the strongest survive. those who cant pull their weight must go. 3.) We should just sterilize them but let them live, to prevent them from having children that will dirty the Gene pool with more mental diseases. as a humanitarian act. that doesnt involve killing, rather the prevention of the need to kill later on.
