I want to post here, at this time, a big thank you to Martin, Amy, those vets, techs, specialists at the animal hospital, for those that fought hard to rescue Sammy, save his life and give him loving care since. I am so very frustrated, angered and disappointed by what occurred today and can only imagine that what you are feeling is a hundred times more than what I am feeling. I am sitting here looking at my rescue cocker spaniels. One had been starved and beaten to the point her eyes had to be removed. One is a 13-year old senior with geriatric issues that was just dumped. I hoped that today would be a day to be remembered when people heard that injury to these poor creatures would not be tolerated any longer. What a sad commentary that our judicial system is willing to bear up the idea that they are just animals and dont have the right to appropriate care. If we continue to allow the abuse of animals, children, the elderly than we deserve what society will become. I am sorry for those with a more personal involvement in Sammys care that justice could not be served for your fur-friend after you worked so hard for it. I honor your attempts to bring that about. You will have your reward; earned by your love and kindness.
