I want to publically appologize for what I had my horse go through today. I have a horse for sale and this dressage lady in her thirties comes along today. I show my horse in hand doing shoulder-in and travers, I show him on the longe trotting nicely out and forward. I show him ridden in all three gates (he is nine but only have one year of training, he came to me completely uneducated a year ago) and today he had lots of energy and was a little preoccupied in his mouth for reasons I don´t yet know but still showed nicely, it is time to check teeth so that could be an issue and he has had a few different riders on him the last few days. Well, this was not a problem for the dressage lady. She got on and just made him bite his chest with some very sophisticated hand action and told him good boy every time he put his head waaay behind the verticle. And she made him go there the whole ride. I don´t ride with a nose band so it was very obvious what my horse thought about the treatment since he went about the whole ride with his mouth wide open. And I mean wide open! After the ride she said he had a lovely mouth, very sensitive. I was speechless. So now you can all imagine what a roll kured horse without a nose band looks like, and it ain´t pretty. I have appologized profoundly to my horse and promised him that this will never ever happen again, and I don´t know if he will ever forgive me. My biggest regret is my own cowardness that allowed her to finish the ride. I allowed her to abuse my horse while she actually thought she was doing something good. I need someone to forgive me, please.
