I want to share something that happened yesterday evening. I was on my way to an event in downtown Baltimore and the traffic going into the city was thick. I was at a light and two lanes over there was a homeless woman with a sign asking for money. If I had been over there, I would have given her some money because I believe that it is not up to me to judge or question whether or not someones situation is real. Anyway, a man in a red car handed her a bag that looked like it had some kind of wrap in it. She sat down and started tearing into it and I felt so sorry for her. She was obviously starving and crazy that I was thinking that she needed something to wash it down with and it was too bad that he did not have a drink when the woman in the blue car behind him rolled down her window and handed the woman a bottle of water. All of that is to say that there is still goodness in this world. That man had probably purchased that for his dinner and he gave it up and the other woman was thoughtful enough to give up her water in 98 degree heat. God bless those two good people for doing that.
