I want to tell you, Twyla, if you did not know, that I believe you were the instrument God used to inspire me as I was first learning to direct. You had asked if I felt intimidated, and I told you that I appreciated the support that you gave. I could see in your eyes that you love teaching by way of using your strengths in the support of your students. You have taught me a good deal, sometimes without even the need to say a word, (not that you ever hesitated to say something, of course.) The most valuable lesson was that we can both teach and learn, equally, regardless of the chair in which we sit. I promise you that, as best I can, I will endevour to pass on to another what I have been fortunate to learn from you.
