I wanted to share a little something about the props and land used for fall minis... The props used came from, Amanda of, Greenhouse Picker Sisters. She contacted me because she and her sister had started this picking and renting gig, which I think is totally cool! My husband thinks so too, since sometimes my props take over his garage. Whether theyre in there to be painted, reupholstered, or stored, he cant stand it! Ha! ...Im pretty sure he said he loves Amanda, even though hes never met her! haha! ...For fall minis, I was inspired by an image on Pinterest, sent it to Amanda and she created something similar, but original for me! Then, when I went to her house to see the set up (which I loved!), the conversation turned to where Id be doing my fall minis and I didnt have a location in mind. She quickly offered up the perfect area directly across from her Grandfathers home, with a white fence and horse stables! Along with there being great vintage props used and an awesome piece of property to shoot on, I got to tell all of my clients a really cool story about Amandas family; Her grandfather (the same one who lives across from our shooting location), was just featured on the American Pickers episode that aired on, November 5th! Ive included a few screenshots from the episode and If you watch it, his part of the episode starts at around 10 minutes in :) Please tell your grandfather, I hate that I was shooting when he came over to offer hot chocolate and coffee and couldnt chat with him!
