I was able to catch the Retrospective at the MFA in Boston on - TopicsExpress

I was able to catch the Retrospective at the MFA in Boston on Friday before it closed (Yeah!). As someone who grew up adjacent to Wyeth country of Chadds Ford, PA and now lives in Maine, and have spent much time on Monhegan Island, the exhibition was like a retrospective of my life as well as Jamies paintings. Many of the paintings were emotional touchpoints of my life (Jamie and I are also close in age). One of the grab me moments was approaching the portrait of JFK. Although I have a warm place in my heart for that painting and the Kennedy era, it was the pencil sketch beside the painting that was the grab me moment. There was an intimacy of that graphite drawing that spoke directly to the feelings Jamie had for Kennedy.
