I was born after 9pm on March 18 in the year we landed on the moon (4 months and 2 days after I was born to be exact) and the year that The Eagles make reference to in their song Hotel California lol. Well I M not quite a half a century yet but I feel like I have lived a few lifetimes already. There was no such thing as a remote control at least at my house when I was born, there was no microwave, phones were still rotary, and three stations all went off the air before 2 am. Not that I would have been up that late anyway. Lol. Since then we had phonographs, 3 speed records, 8 track tapes, cassette tapes, Atari games, video cassette recorders, remote control, call waiting, digital phones, cell phones, CDs, CD players, DVDs, DVD players, I-tunes, Blue Ray Disc, internet, and a host of other things. We went from where Rock rolled to where Rock was not understood, we went from soul music that stirred our souls to soul music stirring other things lol, rap went from someone you put your food in to something you POPED to something I dont even think Grand Master Flash wanted it to be. Comedy went from making fun of the government to making fun of each other to making fun of no one because you might offend someone. TV went from 3 stations to God knows how many now. Information went from something that was breaking news in the middle of your favorite TV SHOW TO something that you can now see in real time, that is unless you are in the government and then they have to wait to see it on CNN LOL. a smoke was just a smoke and now Colorado says it is something else lol. A party was when you got wasted on the weekend to where people began sniffing chalk online and thinking it was funny. Yes times have changed. But the one thing that has remained constant is good friends and the best one I know above all is Jesus Christ. He has always been and with Him, there is nothing new under the sun.
