I was debating on posting this but i have already voiced my opinion in other posts . I will probably get attacked with words Im sure ....I as well as travis or should i say our girls were on those buses and at the school when this all went down...... for those of you who dont know our school had a lockdown this morning for reasons later told ..... I myself panic because i was in a situation where i could not of rushed to the school shud I have had to I believe and am satisfied with how they proceedeed with it.... A highschool student accidently brought shells of some sort into the school thru some type of clothing he was wearing soon learned that student quickly responded and confessed as this situation happened and went into lockdown. Lockdown went into effect at 8am im told than teachers were informed state police were contacted etc ....these are the steps that they must follow for safetly of all students and stafff .....i do agree i wish there could of been a texted or email sent out to inform parents sooner than after the effect stating what was going on and not to come to the school for thier safetly or interfere with others safety or cause more panic or chaos etc....in the future I hope they remember to do this....because reading it on facebook while no tires are on the car meaning no way to rush out to the school if needed i myself panicked knowing our 3 littles ones and many others were there ....also the fact the elementary buses still picked up children and brought them some are miss understanding that the buses were alreading in route and yes maybe that could of been handled better like instead of going to the school maybe sent the buses to the garage maybe suggest not to pick up the rest of the students and the ones they already had on the bus report to bus garage until situation was cleared up and also contact parents .....however nothing is ever handled precisely when in a panic we all can say what we would have or should have done but until you are in that situation you dont know!!!!! .....I as a parent however am an agreement that thank goodness it was just a stupid misfortune I am thankful that the concern of the safety of our kids came first before news got out to the parents ....and those who got answers that they didnt know what was going on or the staff couldnt talk right now i can understand why they would say this and understand that all staff were working and focusing at the issue at hand for safety of all at hand first and that they will deal with phone calls later ......instead of placing blame or screaming because it wasnt to thier satisfaction lets take a breath and a step back try to put yourself in thier shoes ....
