I was doing a little research and according the to Fair Credit - TopicsExpress

I was doing a little research and according the to Fair Credit Billing Act, under Federal law maximum liability for unauthorized charges is $50. That goes down to zero if the credit account information and not the actual card itself is used to make fraudulent purchases, which is the case in all four of the fraudulent charges on my bill. If the initial $1,000 isnt reimbursed to my account by Nov. 22-which is the 40 days the card company is given to investigate, I will do what my brother David suggested and take Visa to small claims court. It shouldnt be this hard to get them to live up to the provisions that law provides! Have any of you other friends had this difficulty with your credit card company?
