I was going to try to fill out my profile section - honest. They want to know what books l like, what TV shows I watch, what movies, and food. Are they kidding? So here, for good and for all, is a list. Starting with TV: Fact No. 1: I DO NOT WATCH TV. I have no cable. I watch series shows on DVD. White Collar, NCIS, Revolution, and Supernatural are my current favorites. BOOKS: My current library has 3,500 books in it. I have eight bookcases full in my apartment. My favorite series authors are: William Faulkner, Frank Herbert, Tom Clancy, J.K. Rowling, J.R.R. Tolkein, John Norman, James Blish, George Martin, John Grisham, Dan Brown, David McCulloch, Edgar Allan Poe. I have them all, and no, you cant borrow one. I have copies of the Mormon Bible, the Cathoiic Bible, the King James Bible, the Torah; a shelf of Greek lit; early Irish lit, Arthurian Romances, Chaucer and Milton. And they ask if Ive read Green Eggs and Ham? POETS: Wallace Stevens, hands down. Best modern poet nobody has ever heard of, with the exception of Billy Collins. Music: You ask me, a child of the 60s, 70s and 80s, who the best musicians are? Easy. Start with 1920s jazz, and work up. Favorite food: Corned beef and colcannon. 16 different kinds of pasta, with red or white sauce. Asparagus. No. Broccoli. Favorite athlete -- 1962 World Series MVP Ralph Terry. Talk to him all the time. Favorite coach: Gene Keady -- talk to him, too. There. I think that should do it.
