I was just reading a post from my music buddy yesterday and it - TopicsExpress

I was just reading a post from my music buddy yesterday and it really got me thinking. I want to echo some of the sentiments he made. We - The Musicians, spend hours of our lives, pouring over writing, recording, mixing and mastering our music. Spending thousands of dollars that we struggle to save, and giving our hearts and souls to our craft. And yet, once our music is ready for the world, we are suddenly at the mercy of A&R people, Radio music programmers, Managers and Promoters who then make the decision as to weather or not our music is worthy to be played on the radio, get funding, get a slot at a festival etc. Its absolutely CRAZY when you think - that these very peoples jobs (which pay much more than we could ever earn off a meagre single or album sale) - these jobs only exist because WE the MUSICIANS even dare to dream of making music in the first place?! CRAZY RIGHT?!
