I was just thinking about Christmas growing up this morning, and some of our Parents didnt have a lot of money in those days, so Christmas stuff had to be put on Lay Away, and sometimes paid for several months leading up to Christmas..My how times have changed fast forwarding to today, where everyone has a credit card, which is not always good as lots of folks overextend at Christmas time..I dont even know if they still have Lay aways..Now I ask You are we better off today with the high interest credit cards, which get abused, or back in the day, when our parents bought stuff they could afford even if it had to be put on lay away and had a personal relationship with the local merchants..To me Credit cards make it easy to buy stuff we cant afford..Just Sayin!!!!
