I was just treated the worst I have ever been treated by a vets office. I am trying to help out a friend with his dog. she most likely has worms and needs a fecal. I called to let the vet know that he would be coming in to make an appointment and that I would take care of it. before I could even finish my very first sentence, I was VERY RUDELY interrupted and talked over and told by the office manager that they dont take payments or offer any financial assistance...ummmmmmmmmm that is NOT what I was calling for and if she would have just SHUT-UP and listened to me would have let me finish my sentence she would have known that. the conversation just went downhill from there. I was talked to like I was stupid, like they didnt have time to take care of this dog and I was repeatedly talked over and interrupted. it was also mentioned they would do a fecal but they would also need to do bloodwork which STARTS at $65. so I said lets just start with the fecal and see what is going on...to which I was interrupted and talked over again. and while I was trying to explain AGAIN that all I was calling for was to let them know that he would be coming in to make the appointment and that I would cover it, I was told she had to go because she had to get the other line. this is also the vet clinic who quoted me over $200 for ONE DOGs vetting. instead we took BOTH DOGS to Paxton and got them both vetted for $160. THIS is precisely why I do not vet in Danville and I drive make a two hour round trip to the Paxton Vet Clinic for all of my dogs vetting needs why I recommend them to everyone. I have defended this clinic and its office manangers rude and unprofessional behavior LOTS of times in the past, but I will no longer be doing that and am putting it out there that they need to change their name because CARING HEARTS certainly does not describe them at all.
