I was literally just having a conversation about off grid living and such like 10 minutes ago...this is ridiculous! We live in a society designed to keep as many people dependant on the system as humanly possible. Lets not think about the environmental benefits of off grid living, of working with the environment to sustain life, lets instead focus on how much money wed lose if trends like this were to catch on...lets make/enforce laws so that we can keep people dependant on the way of living we deem acceptable. And to make matters worse, lets jack up the prices for said services...I mean, there is no LEGAL option for the alternative, so why not right? We need to stop living in fear of things like this. We need to realize that those in power dont actually have the power. We do. We put them there. One voice can make a ripple, but a thousand voices united under one purpose can make waves. Occupy Wall Street anyone?
