I was reading today in the Leger Dispatch that meetings were held in Jackson regarding the STIP project in Pine Grove to improve the roadways. The bulk of the funding was to be allocated towards easing traffic for the Pine Grove Elementary, but there was also funding to address traffic near the town hall and....Ridge and Hwy 88 where the Dollar General store is slated for its location. Supervisor Plasse has made it clear that he does not support the project, nor does he have any interests in addressing problems upcountry. Combine this with the questionable go ahead to build this site out on mixed properties and against existing traffic problems...and its a recipe for disaster. Its a fair enough question to pose: Does anyone on the Board of Supervisors have any interest in the welfare of citizens above Jackson and Sutter Creek? As best as I can tell, they are worked hard to create a quagmire and show no intentions towards revitalization or even addressing problems for upcountry citizens. This includes issues revolving around the DG site in Pine Grove.
