I was saddened to learn that a good friend recently received the Doctors diagnose of prostate cancer & Parkinsons disease both on the same day. When I say good friend I mean a man that I have come to love and enjoy, comedian Billy Connolly. Over the past year I have stepped away from the random flicking of countless TV Channels to the much more regimented viewing off the internet. In addition to Billy this past while I have been entertained by the likes of Bill Burr, Louis CK, Patrice ONeil, John Pinette, Jim Jeffries, Danny Bhoy, Dara OBrianan, Jimmy Carr, Chris Rock, and Peter Kay to name just a few. All comedy rather than the so called reality shows and criminal programs that jam the commercial airways. From his banjo to motorcycle tour of Route 66 series, countless acting gigs to his incredible stand up comedy I have enjoyed every aspect of his life he has chosen to share with his fans. While other comedians work hard to get a 45 to 60 minute act together Billy is well known for his Was it something I said tour which while on stage treated his audience for over 2 hours and 45 minutes. So when you feel just overwhelmed with your day or maybe bored by all the crap that you find on TV take a moment and treat yourself to some of the best story telling you will ever hear. Time well wasted!
