I was singing this song in the backseat of Mamas car when I was two-years-old. I owned several of her albums (actual albums) before I was in my teens. Daddy even had a co-worker who went to Nashville and came back with a Crystal Gayle record just for me. For those of you back home, Im not sure how many of you remember the Ol Jaybird from KRRV. KRRV was MY STATION. I loved the Jaybird and I even spent way too much money trying to win a KRRV hat during one of our church fairs. The Jaybird interviewed me as we made our way out of the Rapides Parish Fair when I was about ten-years-old. He asked me about my hair (it was long) and I asked him to play a Crystal Gayle song for me. So, I apologize in advance for those of you who are watching Crystal Gayle for the first time this weekend. Ill be the woman trying to find more Kleenex as this beautiful woman sings the songs I grew up loving.
