I was sitting on the floor playing with Laila, I had the TV on for background noise.. Not sure what the show was, it was about a gorilla that was pregnant and showing signs of distress so they decided to do a C-section... Because great apes are so close to humans in anatomy they had a OB come in for the surgery.. They couldnt stress enough how DANGEROUS the surgery was compared to a natural birth... ??? WHAT ? Why are they so much more concerned with the dangers of sections on an ape ( Im not saying thats not important, I cried as I watched her baby being delivered in such a way) but NOT on human mothers... ??? I dont get it at all...... ! How come the Dr was stressing the danger of the surgery to the care givers but I NEVER hear of a Dr giving the same information to a expectant human mom... Really pisses me off.... Sorry for the strong language ....
