I have several WIPs, so heres the one I was working on most recently, Becoming Lucy Blue. So, when I came of age, I was tattooed and given my own land to tend. My life had taken a strange turn, but I was very happy with the Mojave. They had taken my clothes, but I was allowed to keep Bill’s knife and my Bible. The former made me popular because it was a good, sharp knife, while the latter an object curiosity, not because they didn’t under the idea of writing, but because I was so intent on reading it when I had free moments. In truth, most of my faith died with my family, but I had a strong desire to not lose my own language. Yes, I was happy, but I knew that my time among them would end and that I would eventually return to live among my own kind.
