I was watching a program on TV this afternoon about a man who was a businessman and he had built a robot toy and was trying to close a deal on it because with this sale he and his family would be set for life. He worked all day every day even overtime to try and accomplish this. His late hours and lack of sleep and dehydration caused him to get pneumonia. He ended up in the hospital but even there he had his computer and phone still working on this project while his illness got worse. He ended up closing the deal and in doing so closed the last page of his life. Life is so fragile and passes us by so quickly and many times we have nothing to show for it. I often look back and said if I had only followed Gods plan for my life which was get out of high school, go to Dallas Baptist College then on to seminary, how different my life would have been . I would still be in the ministry some where and not had all the troubles I have had throughout my life because I lived for me and not the Lord. I thank God that He forgives mistakes and our past. The Bible says when we confess our sins and repent, He forgives our sins and forgets them and cast our sins as far as the east is from the west. At nearly 60 years old through this battle with cancer I have become closer to the Lord than I ever have in my entire life. Some folks dont seem to take God serious or think they need Him but when all is said and done and you have tried everything in your power to do things yourself, Jesus is still waiting for you at the foot of the cross.
