I was watching the series The Affair last night and heard a great analogy about relationships. The main character had just told his wife he was in love with another woman and she kicked him out. He went to his best friends house to ask for advice and this is what he said. Relationships are like the stock game. There are always going to be attractive startup companies that everyone goes crazy for. And when you see that everyone else want it, it makes you want it too. Sometimes people take all of their money out of there savings and go for the hunch but 99% of the time the attractive startup companies in a short amount of time, fail. Keep your money in the sure thing. Sure its steady and sometimes seems boring but 20 years later when you look at your return youll be glad you didnt risk it all like the other idiots.
