I went to a different local park tonight for a short skating session. They have a small half-pipe covered in skatelite. Thats a very different surface to skate on, I realized when I suddenly found myself face-down on the ramp faster than I could blink. Good thing I was fully geared up! But even then I can still feel it a little in my right shoulder, right elbow, and both wrists. Skatelite seems to be a wee bit short on traction compared to plywood or concrete. And I was skating 86A durometer Kryptonics 63.5 CSi wheels, which dont lack grip!
