I went to see a friend in the hospital the other night and stopped by Cracker Barrel to get a light dinner. My waitress was young and very sweet and innocent acting. So I had to mess with her , right? When she gave me my ticket I looked at it and fumbled around a second and looked at her as if in horror and said O my Im gonna be a little short ! I fumbled some more and O no Im gonna be a lot short !! I gave her my most pitiful look and asked her if she could spare ten bucks so I would be able to pay. That precious little gal dug through her pockets and went to counting it out. She didnt have as much as she probably hoped from tips but she got it counted out. Then she had that torn look on her face and she said mister Ill give you this money but I want you to know I worked real hard for this tonight. I asked her to get me a to go cup of drink and when she got back I told her thank you for offering but I finally found my dinner money. How sweet was that for her to be willing to help me out. It moved me and I bet that was one surprised little girl when she found her tip. Humanity isnt dead . Itll show up when you least expect it.
