I will go into second hand stores and look for old photographs I enjoy. Heres one example of a nice photo pre-electronics. Its lit with window light only but not just any window light. Also Ive encluded a photo of an old and a new window light studio. Notice how the light also comes from above to keep the head and shoulders defined. I walked into one of these studios in the seventies in Clinton Missouri. It had a very big bank of windows facing north that wrapped over the subjects.
