I will let everyone know in the next 2 days (Tuesday or Wed) about the balloon release being cancelled. Only heard from 2-3 people saying coming. People tried to round up others but little response. You cant force people to attend a memorial. Maybe it will be a solitary event with people doing it where they are. Looks like WALK WITH BRIT ON RT 66 will not go. Not enough volunteers to get word out, help organize/make contact with cities about escorts through the city (until CARAVAN ends I spend 6-8 hours making media contacts, trying to get around the city so havent had much time), not enough people to drive car behind me. Did hear that anyone sent national media a note. It probably seems intimidating. Just thought it gave people who said they wish they could do something, to help without cost. I sent more to Natl but no response. Once I am off the road (prob end of week) it gets even harder to sell. Guess maybe this story really doesnt have the appeal I thought. A mother often thinks their story is more important than it is. But it is not just about Britty. Half of this is about saving lives So it will be the 1oth anniversary 10/1, of the knock on the door,my empty house echoing the young sherrifs words You need to call Tulsa police, your daughter was murdered. As I shut my door, the echoes began this path. I do appreciate people thoughts and kind words.
