I will rarely share personal events in my life, however I believe this is one worth sharing because of the important lesson that is learned. After my wedding, Alhumdullilah we had a good amount of wedding money gifted to us. I counted up all the dollars, cashed in the checks, and gave the entire envelope to my wife, and informed her that all this money is for her. That I do not desire any of it, and that she may spend it on anything she wants. She was taken a bit back, shocked really, at the simple gesture I had made. She had inquired as to why I was giving all of it to her with no care as to how it is being spent, and I simply told her the truth. That she is a pure blooded Sayyidah, with both of her parents being pure blooded Sayyids themselves and that too both of them through Ghawth Al Azam as well. I knew of her ancestry before, her paternal and maternal family have many great awliya of Allah including her great paternal grandfather Hazrath Syed Mohammed Qadri Ar-Rifai RA Almaroof Manjle Baghdadi RA.. With all this being said, I wanted to make them all happy including my own grandparents who were also Najib ut tarfain Husayni Naqvis (sayyids from both father and mother). Why did i wish for THEM to be happy? Well because their happiness would extend all the way to Ghawth Al Azam and then to All the Holy Ahlul Bayt Members, and To Our Master Prophet Muhammad Salalaahualayhiwasalam and then to Our Lord and creator Allah azzawajal. The point in sharing this story was not to boast about my gesture, as it was simple one. The point of the story is that even I myself, Alhumdullilah being a sayyid, will do anything and everything to make Ghawth Al Azam happy, to make the Holy Five Ahlul Bayt, and Our Master Prophet Muhammad Salalaahualayhiwasalam happy. That even I, will never take my lineage for granted. That even I, when meeting another sayyid, will respect him/her and regard them as above me, and I as their servant and under their feet. May Allah azzawajal grant all of us golden oppurtunities to make the Holy Ones happy with us so that The Greatest one the most beloved of All creation, Prophet Muhammad Salalaahualayhiwasalam is happy with us. Ameen thumma ameen Allahumma Ameen.
