I will say this for Mr. Cruise, any of the armed forces branches would be lucky to have him. He is inspired and inspires others. He is disciplined and conscientious and reflects this in his demeanor almost as a constant and for that he is driven. His daily regimen, that I have witnessed, includes getting up and jogging 10 miles; practically no matter what part of the globe he is on and for that he is resilient. For the types of movies he works on, many times performing his own stunts such as in The Mission Impossible franchise, requires going through a basic training warm-up that would rival most triathlons I bet. With this he is more than intermediate in the related skill sets and understands the rigors our brave men and women in the armed forces undertake and go through on a daily basis. He certainly made no disrespectful commentary in my opinion, taken in context or not and we as a nation are very proud to have him. Lastly the man is respectful, for a celebrity of his status, he is neither pompous nor arrogant but humble and kind extending this generosity in a calm civility I have always found him to possess.
