I wonder how many people (truck drivers in particular) look down on me and other drivers when they see us in dirty clothes and not looking our best while at a truckstop or wherever. A lotta guys forget or dont even realize a lot of us dont just climb in a seat and drive. Were moving and securing freight, ie oily machines covered in grease, dirt, and who knows what, or vehicles, wire, steel, etc, and throwing tarps/unloading freight/vehicles in all temperatures and conditions. Sweating/freezing your ass off to get the job done. Anxious and eager to get to a shower. Im only bringing this up because Ive noticed a trend with some drivers dogging others for being dirty and saying they have no pride. If hes at the buffet line with nasty hands and obviously didnt clean up, then thats one thing, but fueling or getting a scale ticket or just doing some other aspect of the job means hes probably been working. Dont be so judgemental.
