I would like to ask each of my friends who are brothers and sisters in Christ to do a BIG favor. Many of you are aware that Jon and I are leading our Sunday School class of 4-6 graders toward developing their passion for sharing their faith. We started this 4 weeks ago by going through the Gospel plan in detail, to help them understand their faith and their position in Christ. Over the next few weeks, Jon and I, along with a couple of our youth group, shared OUR stories with them to help the kids understand that they are not alone in their struggles, as well as to help them see that we are ALL sinners saved by Gods grace alone. Next week, during our morning service at First General Baptist Malden, some of these kids will be sharing their testimony with the church. I ask that you will pray for these kids as they take this bold step. Pray that they will be able to focus and be able to proclaim what Jesus means to them. Pray that their testimony will have a tremendous impact on our congregation. Isaiah 55:11 reads, It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. (NLT). Testimony from children IS a word from God. Read Psalm 8:2, which says, You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you. (NLT). SO, as you prepare you heart for next Sundays Recharge, prepare to hear from God, because that is what will happen. One of my past pastors used to say that you cannot meet with God and come away unchanged. So, as you pray for these kids, do not forget to ask God to change YOU as His word is delivered.
