I would like to get this off my chest. It is bugging me. Big Time. I posted a picture earlier and someone I really respect utterly disagreed with my sentiment (that is very allowed!) and I utterly agreed or I would never have posted it. It was about that topic turner, WAR! There was a time when man did not kill man. I am a Warrior Of Peace, always have been even before I knew what it really meant, the ideas where there. Life landed me in a very violent subculture of a subculture. I learnt fast and I learnt well. I learnt well because of my teacher. I see that now. I have family members who have gone to war, in my lifetime. And when they got home, they left the forces and became an RSPCA inspector or similar. I do believe those who give their lives in battle are a certain kind of hero, NO DOUBT THERE. I could never do that. I could never take another life but I would happily treat all the injured, whoever they may be. The nearest analogy I can take from my direct, first hand lessons learned is the way my Mum always got REALLY cross when, back in thatchers britain, a copper was killed as was a civilian and the copper gets all the news space, all the concern of the public. I was confused as my dad is a police officer and frequently went to some of the big riots and THAT strike that went on forever. He may have been killed, we never knew which pit he was at. As my Mum put it, Your Dad made a conscious decision to protect his fellow humans and keep the peace. If he is hurt, well, he is the first line of defence, the pawns. It should not be shocking to the public. The police failing to protect and keep the peace should be what is shocking. Pulled me up quick time, that did. And Always will I believe, one day, we will have peace within humanity. Peace and Respect x
