I would like to make this status short and sweet but its gonna be long n real..every day, I post updates on my wall about Kyssi and her fight to survive cancer..shes so blessed to have her mommy by her side fighting and believing that she will once again beat this awful disease..today, while I was delivering mail..I pulled up to a set of mailboxes and noticed one of my customers standing by her car, so I greeted her n started to drive away but she started walking towards me so I stopped my car and waited for her..shes in her 80s..I could tell something was wrong so I asked her if everything was ok and she started crying, shook her head no and told me that her daughter has cancer(she already lost another daughter about 3 years ago)..she said she was trying to help her daughter get out of the house so they could go to the doctor but because shes so old and little, she couldnt help her..I turned off my car, walked in the house with her, helped her daughter out of the house and into the car..I stood right there and prayed for them and told her daughter to be strong and keep fighting, even when she felt like giving up! I gave the mom my number and told her to please call me if she ever needs help because Ill come and be glad to help..she kept saying God bless you Kena over and over again..he blessed me to witness it, to be in the right place at the right time and to be able to help! Imagine, a mother in her 80s, having to be the sole caregiver to her 50+ daughter(who has 6 year old twins), having had to bury a daughter and possibly wondering if shell have to walk that awful journey again with a child with stage 4 cancer..2 different scenarios, one common similarity(a Mothers love for her child)..my heart broke today when I witnessed effects of cancer up close and personal! Ive been praying all afternoon..for a cure, those affected, the familys whove lost loved ones, the caregivers who fight along with them, and everyone that this awful disease effects! To my coworker and his awesome wife, my prayers are always with you..my heart is so heavy because today I realized just how blessed I am when there are so many people who are FIGHTING to live! Take the time to caređŸ™â€
