I would like you to meet Sandra, one of my former students who was the epitome of perseverance and triumph. I spent 3 years of my life with Sandra and she holds a permanent place deep in my heart. Her daughter Haley is just about the same age as Sandra was when I had the privilege of teaching her. Sandra was tragically killed by a drunk driver on the 91 freeway early Sunday morning. I am still in shock and cant believe this is happening. Haley’s step dad is in serious condition with major burns at a Local Hospital.
