IF THE AX IS DULL AND THE WEDGE UNSHARPENED, more strength is needed but skill will bring success. (Ecclesiastes 10:10) 25-27JuneWed-Friday.....**GRaTeFULfor** ...... Teachers Puzzle. .... Were all in this together! .... a self-talk that kept me engaged with much enthusiasm in these past three days of preparation and execution of a collaborative approach to helping teachers improve the way children learn. The traditional talk-and-chalk or its modern version of show-and-tell digital media presentation, for many years (!), had not delivered much of the desired change in teachers practice. There must be a better way to approach this issue. The time had come to try a more teacher-centered strategy. Teachers should be encouraged to empower their own selves, to learn from their own experience, to seek ways to understand better whats going in the classroom that hinders childrens learning, and to seek better ways of handling children who are lagging behind their peers during the process. Grateful for this group of dedicated Khmer teachers who were willing to take the first step to exploring a self-driven, puzzle solving approach to professional growth and development.
