IMO CHARTER OF EQUITY FOR GOVERNORSHIP : THE TRUTH WITH DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE.... During every election year,interest groups, & Stakeholders write on dis subject matter as it suits dia interests,whether selfish, or otherwise....But d truth remains dat theres an Imo Charter of Equity for Governorship...Its my honest desire thru dis post,write-up,or commentary to situate properly, & rightly, d truth about d Imo Charter of Equity for Governorship.... Let me commend d various commentators,observers,campaigners,& d critics of dis sacred working pattern....Specially,am grateful to Nze Elvis Agukwe for his uncommon courage, & boldness...However,its my candid opinion, ,& advice dat Nze Elvis Agukwe shud be less Combative, even as his efforts are super commendable....Also,am appreciative of d activities of Hon Declan Emelumba....Also,Hon Emelumba shud be less vitriolic, speaking only as a gentleman, journalist of note,a thoroughbred Parliamentarian, & a political leader....Worthy of note are d activities of Mr John Mgbe,Onwuasoanya Fcc Jones ,Tony Izuogu ,Ambrose Nwaogwugwu ,Chidi Aguocha ,Sandra Duru ,Kemdi Iwueke ,Citizen Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha ,Kenneth Uwadi ,& several other writers,& commentators in dis issue.... Does d charter of equity exist in Imo State? Where is d document? When was d document made? Whore d Signatories to dis document? Dis questions are answered here for d purposes of clarifications, & Political guide.... On June 09,1991,@ d Glass House of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu,d Leaders of d three Senatorial Zones met,& resolved on d equitable distribution of political power in Imo State....In dis historic meeting, were 10 Representatives for Owerri, & Okigwe zones respectively, while d Orlu Zone had 13 Representatives....This Leaders per Zones are: Owerri Zone: Chief EC Iwuanyanwu, Chief Evan Enwerem, Dr JC Odunna,Barr BSC Nzenwa,Chief Onyenso Nwachukwu,Chief RO Onyenobi,Senator BA Nwanne,Prof Roland Anyanwu, Dr FU Ukoha,Barr RC Azuatalam,Chief Engr RO Ugorji, Dr AC Obasiegbula,& Chief Mrs Maria Eke......Okigwe Zone: Senator Emeka Echeruo, Chief Sir TI Ozoemena,Dr EJK Onyebuchi,Chief Tony C Emeruom,Senator BC Agunanne,Chief Zeph Philip Nwosu,Chief Francis Anamekwe, Hon Amaefule Ikoro,Mrs Pat Ogueri,Prince C Orike,Chief CC Iwuala,& Sir OU Ugochukwu....Orlu Zone: Chief Dr BU Nzeribe, Senator Alhaji Nnani Maduagwu,Dr Walter Ofonagoro,Chief Anyiam Acholonu, Chief Greg Mbadiwe,Chief Peter Mgbenwelu,Prince SO Ukadike,Chief SBN Emejuru,Sir Obed Umelo,Chief RO Ofoma,Nze Laz Ohakwe,Dr Otuokere Njaka,& Chief RO Okoro..... And so,@ dis historic Assembly, Barr BSC Nzenwa moved d Motion for d adoption of d charter of Equity, while Senator Alhaji Nnani Maduagwu seconded d Motion, which was accepted without dissent....Chief EC Iwuanyanwu, & dis listed Leaders/Representatives of d 3 Zones were mandated to endorse d Resolution, which endorsement was perfected.... And further again, on January 19,1998 @ d same Glass House, Orji Owerri, Imo State,Nigeria,dis Leaders/Representatives assembled to reaffirm d existence of dis sacred document establishing Zoning in Imo State....This Leaders are to wit: Owerri Zone: Chief EC Iwuanyanwu, Chief Evan Enwerem, Dr JC Odunna, Dr Sylvester Ugoh,Chief Charles Obinna,Chief RO Onyenobi, Senator BA Nwanne, Prof Roland Anyanwu, Barr Ibeneme Njoku,& Chief EC Akwiti.....Okigwe Zone: Chief SO,Mbakwe,Ph.D,Chief Tony Uchegbu,Dr EJK Onyebuchi, Chief Tony C Emeruom, Senator BC Agunanne, Chief Benson Maduako,Dr II Anyadiegwu,Chief GC Anyanwu, Chief Ifeanyi Araraume, & Chief IB Ezealor....Orlu Zone Leaders: Chief Dr BU Nzeribe, Chief MO Kanu,Dr Ezekiel Izuogu, Dr Douglas Acholonu, Chief Greg Mbadiwe, Chief Engr Sonnie Hart Ibeh,Chief Fidel Anujuo,Chief Onuoha Ihim,Sir Obed Umelo,Sir John Anyaehie, Chief Theo Mbakwe, ,& Chief EC Akwiwu.....Its HE,Chief Evan Enwerem, who @ 2.00pm blessed d traditional kolanut,declaring d Assembly open,wit d agenda of zoning tabled as d pivot..... The issue of zoning was exhaustively discussed...At d end of d meeting, its unanimously resolved,& endorsed dat d Zoning shud commence wit Orlu,Okigwe,& respectively in dis order...This meeting ended @ 05pm on January 19,1998.... Having laid d solid foundation for dis post,d questions remain why d violations,denials,accusations,& counter-accusations by even those Elders/Leaders who attended, & endorsed dis sacred document? Its clear from d forgoing dat d Imo Charter of Equity exists.....Its also obvious dat those who deny dis eternal truth, & reality are grossly mischievous....No doubts,d political actors,& Players have violated dis sacred understanding which ensures mutual respect, peace,security,& Political, peaceful coexistence....Its a big shame on d political class,& gross insensitivity on d docile generations of ours....It must be controlled now before further collateral damage on our consciousness, & conscience.... In deed,its for dis purpose dat Barr Humphrey Anumudu was pleaded to surrender his victory @ d PDP Primaries in 1998 over Rochas,Greg Mbadiwe, & Achike Udenwa...Yes,Achike Udenwa got favoured,having come fourth trailing Rochas,& Mbadiwe.... It must be pointed out, that d APP of Senator Arthur Nzeribe, Chief EC Iwuanyanwu, Chief Evan Enwerem, & Chief Ifeanyi Araraume had adopted Dr Ezekiel Izuogu as its Candidate against Chief Evan Enwerem.....Yes,Chief Evan Enwerem, & Chief Ifeanyi Araraume defected to d PDP in protest, wherein d Duo were rewarded wit d Senatorial Candidacy of Owerri, & Okigwe Zones.....It shud be remarked dat d decision against Barr Humphrey Anumudu by d trio of Senator Emeka Echeruo, Chief ID Nwoga, & Dr Sylvester Ugoh was to counter,& frustrate d decision on Dr Ezekiel Izuogu by d APP Stakeholders led by Senator Arthur Nzeribe, & Chief EC Iwuanyanwu, which political masterstroke paid off in d eventual victory of Achike Udenwa in 1999, though supported, & funded by the then Military Governor, Col Tanko Zubairu.... And where lies d conscience of dis great political players,& actors? Why cant we rediscover ourselves unto d path of greatness without destroying d happiness, & wellbeing of d future generations? Gleefully, d Icon of Philanthropy,Sir John Anyaehie is a signatory to dis sacred document...And blessedly,his Son,Barr Nnamdi Anyaehie is d current State Chairman of d PDP, Imo State....Will Barr Nnamdi Anyaehie ridicule a document, & resolution which his Iconic Father,Sir John Anyaehie endorsed,& cherished? History beckons on all of Us as Political Players,Actors,Opinion Moulders,& Religious Bodies....Lets remain on track on d path of truth for d sake of d generations yet unborn, & for d happiness, & wellbeing of dis present generations... Its my solemn appeal to d powerful Imo political leaders to refrain from activities, capable of destroying d foundation of Imo State, Nigeria....Specifically,am appealing to d Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, CON, & Senator Hope Uzodinma to resolve dia rumoured political disagreement for d betterment of d PDP, & d larger Imo State....Everybody cant be Governor @ d same time,moment,& period....We must decipher dat d several political hangers-on are d creators of dis rumoured rivalry....D Duo of d Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, CON, & Senator Hope Uzodinma represent d future of dia Zones,Imo State,& esp d PDP....Equally,its my appeal to d living elder statesmen who endorsed dis charter of equity to intervene without further delay.... And further, a delegation of political, non political, & Religious leaders,plus Youth Leaders be sent to Governor Rochas in order to dissuade him from aspiring to be Governor for a second term....No doubts,Governor Rochas has done his best,though distracted by d enormous political, & economic powers @ his disposal, Imo State is beyond dis political players,actors,& Leaders....Senator Hope Uzodinma has done so well,not optimally though, but could be encouraged to do a second term in order to become d Deputy President, Senate of d Federal Republic, esp as Senator Ike Ekweremadu may not return for a fourth term....In dis regard, d Ideator Federal Constituency wud be pleaded to be patient, having had Governorship thru Governor Rochas....No doubts,d Ideator federal Constituency which hasnt had a Senator for d Orlu Senatorial District of Imo State, Nigeria.... Without apologies, d Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, CON is d most prepared in terms of political,& administrative experience /exposure,verifiable accomplishments spread across d 305 Wards,10 Federal Constituencies, & d 3 Senatorial districts, unblemished, unimpeachable character, discipline, & patriotic sense of drive,& All known parameters, indices,& measurements.....No doubts,d Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, CON is d greatest, most popular political brand in Imo State today....Imo State deserves d very best truly...... Lets show d capacity to challenge d domination of Ndi Igbo in Nigeria by been responsible, & responsive to dis clarion.....I have no intention to ruffle any feather in dis commentary....My apologies, & regrets where d opposite was understood, read,or interpreted....
