ISAIAH 58 ,,the True Fast of the Most HIGH....- Lev 16 v 29 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- afflict yourselves(Anawath)=meekness, gentleness , humble, lowly, modestly. On this day..We are To repent for our sins, not to engage in work, and have a lowly humble mindstate. To go out of our ways to help those who are needy. In fact..u are to be as one who us needy..but wid enuff to help those who are actually in need. Going out of your way to help your ppl and others. The word (FAST/TZaM)=to cover the mouth, to go hungry,thirsty....ISNT COMMANDED IN THE LAW...thats why Isa. 58 speaks onnit. The Law uses Anawath..not Tzam. Fasting is good to humble the Soul...and to get u to repent. But the true spirit is to MEND RELATIONSHIPS, HELP THE NEEDY, GIVE TO THE POOR..AND A HUMBLE AND CONTRITE SPIRIT B4 TMH. if fasting gets ur spiritual level up..? by all means...But thats not what gets TMHs attention...do sumn for sumone besides yourself. and humble thyself b4 God and your ppl..
