If Floyd Mayweather fights & defeats Manny Pacquiao will he finally earn respect of the casual boxing fan ? Pacs contract with Bob Arums Top Rank is up this year, MAYBE a deal could happen early next year ? Could be if Manny signs with Golden Boy (but, I think Manny will stay at Top Rank ). Id be hopeful for Mayweather-Pacquiao if Arum and Oscar De La Hoya get a deal with Canelo Alvarez and Manny to get that megafight, should Alvarez beat Erislandy Lara for the WBA Super Welterweight title this summer. (Especially considering the rift between the promotions. The last fight involving the companies two was 2009 Pacquiao knocking out Ricky Hatton. ) I think both Manny and Floyd will fight each other. It may be the last fight for both superstars. I think its too big not to happen.
