If I could wave a magic wand over the whole world that could make - TopicsExpress

If I could wave a magic wand over the whole world that could make the biggest difference in the simplest way, it would be this: Live gratefully. Not BE grateful..the world is filled with people who will say, thank you, in moments of happiness or joy, or simple politeness. But living gratefully is another animal altogether, and makes all the difference. If you live gratefully, when challenges come, instead of lamenting the woes of the circumstance, you appreciate the resources available to you to deal with it, and remember the many blessings that this crisis will NOT touch. If you live gratefully, when painful experiences like failed relationships, broken friendships, or even people dear to us pass, we can focus on the good memories and experiences they provided, and the good things they left behind. If they were simply awful people, we will have learned valuable things to help us go forward stronger, wiser, better. If we live gratefully, our perception of the material things around us change. We ALWAYS know we already have enough, so any more that comes can be regarded as a pleasant surprise and a bonus, not something owed us, our spiritual selves never subject to the fickle nature of material things that come and go like the tide, our peace unflappable, our joy non negotiable. If we live gratefully, people around us are uplifted by us, and they want to be around us. They in turn generally regard us kindly, so both sides of this interpersonal relationship equation thrive. If I had a magic wand, I would wave it and have us all live gratefully. But I dont, so I will just start with me.
