Assess and satisfy customer needs on a consistent basis by timely liaising with the suppliers. Areas of responsibility Provide inputs for finalizing the sales targets and budgets and plan activities to achieve the set objectives. Convert potential enquiries to successful orders and ensure the whole order processing cycle is completed. Take proactive initiatives to satisfy customer needs. Plan regular customer visits to keep in touch with them and introduce new product lines. Acquire product knowledge and advise the customers wherever necessary. Support the team with technical inputs and revert to the customers on technical queries by conducting lab/ industrial trials with the customer. Liaise with the principals for negotiating better product prices, deals, discounts, service etc. Increase market penetration and coverage by targeting small and medium food companies in the assigned territory. Efficiently handle customer complaints and escalate sensitive issues to the senior management. Follow-up on outstandings/ payments with the customers. Generate sales reports and other relevant reports for further actions and future reference. Effectively use CRM system. Ensure effective implementation of quality initiatives. Knowledge and skill requirements Education Experience Essential Degree in Food Technology/ Science or related field. 4-5 years experience in selling food ingredients or food products. Excellent communication and inter personal skills. Preferred MBA in sales & marketing Work experience preferably in B2B selling, out of which at least 2 years in industrial selling of food/ chemical products.
